HINE COGNACS AND THEIR ASIA BRAND AMBASSADOR TOUCH DOWN IN BANGKOK

A rare opportunity to encounter the renowned cognacs of Hine is in the offing at The Whiskey Room at Penthouse Bar + Grill on Friday, December 1, 2017.
The illustrious French house is sending four precious labels for tasting, escorted in person by its first ever Asia Brand Ambassador, M. Mathieu Jeannin, also the company’s APAC Sales Manager.
Founded in 1763, Hine Cognacs are highly regarded around the world for their quality and complexity – from the entry-level H By Hine to the prestige cuvée “Talent”. The house is one of the few to regularly release vintage Cognacs, aged in the cellar until they are ready for bottling.
The four different cognacs will be accompanied by bar snacks specially created for the occasion by The Penthouse’s Canadian Head Chef Andrew Dickie.
An intriguing evening with sparkling city views up on the 35th floor begins at 7.30pm and concludes around 9:00p.m. Priced THB 598++ per person and with limited seating, timely arrival is of the essence.
A classic 1920s American style hideaway bar featuring a library of rare single-malt whiskies coupled with sparkling cityscape views, The Whisky Bar is an obvious place to host such an evening.
You reach the bar by passing through a disguised walnut panelled door that leads to an anti-room resplendent with Chiang Mai ceramic tiles in shades of red. An audacious Macassar ebony shattered wall cantilevers out above. Ahead is a glittering back bar sculpted from cut crystal panels and button-tufted dark brown leather. British Racing Green rugs cover the amber wood floor while chairs are upholstered with copper and chestnut coloured leathers.
