Marriott International Celebrates Bangkok’s Lively Street Food Scene With Second “MLive Food Market”

Street food extravaganza will showcase exceptional Thai and international cuisine from 19 Marriott hotels across Bangkok*

Marriott International, Inc. will launch the second round of its highly popular MLive Food Market - the vibrant culinary and cultural festival that showcases the finest street food in Thailand's capital city. Happening from July 19 to 21, 2019, MLive Food Market will bring together mouth-watering dishes from Marriott’s top chefs, paying tribute to the simple yet delicious street, or 'soi', cuisine of Bangkok.

MLive Food Market will take place on The Surawongse Rooftop, the outdoor event space overlooking Bangkok's skyline at Bangkok Marriott Hotel The Surawongse. The not-to-be missed three-day event will showcase an extravaganza of Thai and international food from  19 Marriott hotels all across Bangkok as well as exciting culinary events, including live chef battles and fun activities for all the family. The event is open to the public, with no entrance fee.

From 5pm up till 10pm over the weekend of July 19 to 21, the rooftop of the Bangkok Marriott Hotel The Surawongse will be transformed into a vibrant Thai street food market. Diners can enjoy the evening with casual seating, picnic areas, a kids' zone, fun crafts and a live music stage for an upbeat, chilled out vibe. MLive Food Market will showcase an amazing array of local Thai favorites, Asian delicacies, innovative international cuisine and delicious desserts at affordable prices ranging from THB60 to THB150.

MULTIHULL SOLUTIONS PHUKET REGATTA 2019

Preparations for the 2019 Multihull Solutions Regatta are well underway.

Organized and operated by Phuket Yacht Club in the environs of Chalong Bay the MHSR has become the largest Multihull only event in Asia.

Early Bird registration can now be completed and Notice of Race found at the club’s new website www.phuketyachtclub.com /registration

The racing schedule changes a little in 2019 with registration and weigh-in starting on Friday 12th of July and racing conducted from Saturday 13th through to Monday 15^th.

Crews will then have 48 hours or so to prepare for the Cape Panwa Phuket RaceWeek.

Following the great success of the previous five Regatta’s, 2019 marks the sixth year that Multihull Solutions is naming rights and major sponsor of the Multihull Solutions Regatta in 
Phuket and we are looking forward to supporting this fabulous event again.

You too can join this “multihull only” event for three days of exciting racing and serious fun on and off the water. The fees to enter are modest, the scenery spectacular and the camaraderie is like no other!

Who can enter the Phuket Multihull Regatta?

The Regatta is open to all multihulls (catamarans and trimarans) with a length overall of greater than 6 meters that are acceptable to the Race Committee.

Private and charter multihulls are welcome to enter – read on to find out about charter multihulls available.

The Regatta will have the following classes (subject to entries received):

• Class 1 Racing Multihulls with valid OMR ratings.
• Class 2 Firefly 850 Sports One Design
• Class 3 Cruising Multihulls without OMR ratings.
• Class 4 Corsair Pulse 600 Class

Rugby School Thailand Summer Camp: a place to discover

If you’re looking for ways to entertain your children this summer, Rugby School Thailand’s day and boarding Summer Camp is the perfect place for active and adventurous children.

Just over 140km southeast of Bangkok in beautiful countryside, Rugby School believes ‘the whole person, the whole point’ and this philosophy is the foundation of the Summer Camp programme. It will exercise both body and mind, without ever losing sight of the fun a holiday camp should have.

During the three-week camp (from 8-28th July) there will be a whole host of outdoor pursuits (such as ziplining, archery, swimming, mountain-biking, night camps and bushcraft, to name a few), alongside stimulating academic activities (including intermediate English and STEM, as well as catering for EAL), tribe challenges, cultural excursions and community action initiatives.
