ICTE-UQ English Scholarship Contest
Description:
“The ICTE-UQ English Scholarship Contest” is a project aims to offer a scholarship for Thai applicants wanting to study in Brisbane, Australia.
The objective of this scholarship is to encourage and support talented students to study English at Institute of Continuing & TESOL Education (ICTE), University of Queensland.
The campaign’s main purpose is also to promote the institute, Brisbane and Australia.
Scholarship value:
The UQ English Scholarship Contest will cover tuition fees of 5 weeks English language courses costs AU$1,725 or approximately 43,000 THB, including 1 return ticket Bangkok – Brisbane from Thai AirAsia X.

Eligibility:
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a Thai citizen
- Age between 18 - 30 years old
- Have completed Senior High School, Vocational or Bachelor Degree
- Be able to travel to Australia to commence the study within 2019
How to apply:
To apply for the scholarship, candidates must create a video length not less than 1 minute and a maximum of 2 minutes answering the question “Why should you study English in Brisbane, Australia? And how will you share your ICTE-UQ experience with others about your studying via online social networks?” With unlimited presentation styles, you can apply for the scholarship through this link https://goo.gl/forms/I1jELrjIb4hhaCZK2 and upload your video by sharing a link from Google Drive in the application form.
After the application deadline on 01 April 2019, the team will select the outstanding work of the 5 finalists and publish all works via Facebook Fan Page of Thaiwahclub. We will bring the Like and Share of each work to calculate as a score as well.
Selection Criteria:
- Completeness and appropriateness of the content: 40 %
- How creative/interesting of the content: 40 %
- Quality of the video: 10 %
- Votes from online channels: 10 %
*(Divided into 5% of Like and 5% of Share)
Term and Conditions:
1. A video for the competition must not have been published anywhere before and must not plagiarise from other people's work. Thai WAH Club and Beyond Study Center reserve the right to use all works to promote or published.
2. Thai WAH Club and Beyond Study Center reserve the right to use videos, video of sharing experiences after finish studying, or other media which may have the picture of applicants to promote or published without announcement.
3. If found that any part of the work submitted has been copied or adapted from other people's work, that piece of work will not be judged.
4. Reward cannot exchange to cash and cannot be transferred to others.
5. The Company reserves the right to change the conditions without announcement.
6. Those who receive the scholarship will be responsible for other expenses such as visa fees, plane tickets, and accommodation fees.
7. In the case that the recipient of the scholarship does not hold an Australian visa before, it is necessary to carry out a tourist visa before receiving the award which Beyond Study Center will help to process the visa.
8. Those who receive the scholarship will lose the right to receive the award in an event where the visa has not been approved by the Australian embassy.
9. Beforing, during and after studying English at the University of Queensland, those who receive the scholarship must be able to share the experiences of study via online social networks such as video, blog, or interview article.
10. If the recipient of the scholarship wants to continue studying beyond the period of the scholarship, the recipient will be responsible for additional expenses themselves.
11. The decision of the committee of company is final.
