SO Sofitel Bangkok continues our wellness initiative through the year with SO FIT SO FUN RUN 2019, The 2^nd Edition from last year, which will be hosting at Lumpini Park on Sunday 3^rd March 2019. The exciting initiative organize by SO Sofitel Bangkok in partnership with BMW Thailand hosting to raise funds for the good cause with 100% donation goes to Care4Water Foundation and Hands Across The Water to support children in need across Thailand.

SO FIT SO Fun Run is theme to stay true to SO Sofitel Bangkok’s unique identity inspired by the FIVE elements of Bangkok’s Lumpini Park: Water, Earth, Metal, Wood, and Fire. Expecting 1,200 Runners invite to join 5 kilometer and 10 kilometer race for only THB 800- per person, with 100% ticket sale proceeds to go directly to Care4Water Foundation and Hands Across The Water, with no expense deduction. Race registration begins from 4:30am onwards before official race kicked off at 6:00am, releasing first, all 10km runners followed by 5km runners.

Shutter Running is appointed to be a key organizer for this event. The Race Pack for this event is design to use canvas material and include NIKE Running T-shirt, a Bib Number, and SO Vouchers for exclusive discounts at SoSPA and Red Oven Restaurant at SO Sofitel Bangkok. France’s Richard Toix displays his Michelin-rated skills at The Reflexions

Michelin-rated French chef Richard Toix will be starring as guest chef at The Reflexions, in The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok, from 27 February to 3 March 2019, when he will be presenting a selection of tasting menus for both lunch and dinner.

Lunchtime will feature a three-plate menu at THB 1,500++ and THB 2,400++ with pairing wines, and a five-plate menu at THB 2,000++ and THB 3,500++ with wines.

The dinner degustation menu is for seven plates at THB 3,600++, and THB 5,200++ with wines; and nine plates at THB 4,200++ and THB 5,900++ with wines paired.

A recipient of numerous awards including a Large Table award from the Chateaux and Hotels Collection by Alain Ducasse, and three toques from the Gault et Millau guide, Chef Toix’s Passions et Gourmandises restaurant in Poitiers, France, was given a star rating in the Michelin Guide.

After running the restaurant with great success for many years, Richard Toix and his wife Laure sold it in a well-publicised handover last year to investigate the exciting opportunities in Asia. The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok is one of their first presentations subsequent to embarking on their travels.

Amongst the courses that will demonstrate Chef Toix’s Michelin-rated talents will be shrimp carpaccio, foie gras ravioli with passion fruit, red mullet with frog and lotus, and duck from the tajine.
