Thailand, 26th October 2016 – CapitaLand’s wholly owned serviced residence business unit, The Ascott Limited (Ascott), received the top honours of ‘Leading Serviced Apartment Brand’ in Asia, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Vietnam at the prestigious 2016 World Travel Awards ceremony for Asia & Australasia. Voted by travellers and travel professionals globally, World Travel Awards is widely hailed as the Oscars of the travel industry, recognising the ultimate hallmark of quality.
Ascott also clinched the coveted ‘Best Serviced Residence Group’ at Travel Weekly Asia’s 2016 Readers Choice Awards. Honouring the finest in the travel industry, the awards were presented to outstanding companies for their first-class products, excellent service and their achievements that have helped boost the travel industry.

In its 23rd year, World Travel Awards is highly contested with many luminary players in the industry vying for top honours. Ascott was recently conferred the title of Middle East's ‘Leading Serviced Apartment Brand’; Ascott Park Place Dubai was named Dubai’s ‘Leading Serviced Apartments’ and Somerset West Bay Doha garnered Qatar's ‘Leading Serviced Apartments’.
Ascott also took home six accolades at the World Travel Awards ceremony for Europe last month, including ‘Leading Serviced Apartment Brand’ in Europe, France and Germany.
