The Bakery at The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok is using fresh mangos during afternoon tea between now and the end of June.

Various types of mango are grown in Thailand during this season, and the chefs at The Bakery have selected barracuda mango (Ma Muang Nam Dok Mai) because of its taste and fragrance, and because of its high levels of nutrition.

Mangos are very low in saturated fat, cholesterol, and sodium. They are an excellent source of dietary fiber and vitamin B6, as well as a good source of vitamin A and vitamin C.

Barracuda mango is included in the savory dishes during afternoon tea, along with Mango Pudding, Mango Macaroon, Hazelnut Mango Mousse, Mango Scone, and an Organic Mango Smoothie.

Mango Afternoon Tea is served every day between 02:00 P.M. and 05:00 P.M. and is priced at Baht 1,200++ for two persons, inclusive of hot premium tea from Ronnefeldt or illy coffee.
