
Anantara Sathorn Presents a French Journey,
the Final 2019 Wine Dinner Series

The Exquisite Flavours of France in Bangkok
The culinary journey begins with classic French hors-d'oeuvres at the private reception cocktail pass in the ZOOM Sky Lounge 38th floors high. Guests can whet their appetites with French flavours while they sip on fine bubbles and select cocktails as they overlook sweeping views of Bangkok’s glittering skyline at sunset.
The setting for the intimate five-course dinner is Anantara Sathorn’s chic private Kasara Executive Lounge. Chef Gibb has expertly crafted an exclusive menu to impress every palate and will present each culinary course at live cooking stations.
Anantara Sathorn’s own wine guru, Khun Aod Thanakrit, will provide the expert wine pairings to accentuate and enhance the flavours of each course.
The first entrée is a seafood course of crevette crue (raw shrimp) served alongside the distinctive garlic horseradish sauce and a tangy orange-soy sauce reduction.
For the second entrée, guests will savour the rich tastes of foie gras au torchon, which has been sealed for three weeks,plated with accents of sweet fig and port gelée (jelly).
A succulent braisé joue de porc (braised pork cheek) will be served in the third course and is balanced with pumpkin and curry and an acidic verjus.
Beef tenderloin cooked to perfection is the highlight of the viande (meat) fourth course. The beef’s meaty flavours are accented with a serving of creamy pomme puree (mashed potatoes) and topped with rich oxtail jus.
Guests bid adieu to the evening of French cuisine with a delectable sweet caramel du chocolat crafted with chocolate ganache, cocoa nibs and Thai fluer de sel.
