Chinese New Year is just around the corner — a time traditionally associated with honoring deities and ancestors, as well as family reunions. Liu, a highly-acclaimed Cantonese restaurant, is inviting Chinese cuisine lovers to celebrate Chinese New Year 2020 in style with a choice of delectable dishes.

From 24 January to 8 February, the Lunar New Year period, Liu’s Chinese chefs will showcase some of the finest culinary delicacies from the Middle Kingdom, including many Spring Festival favorites.

For a truly indulgent festive feast, the Chinese New Year All You Can Eat Dim Sum (THB 1,688* per person) allows diners to enjoy an unlimited selection of Chinese-inspired dishes. Liu’s dim sum specialists will handcraft a range of bite-sized delights that will leave diners coming back for more! Other classical Cantonese dishes include deep-fried prawns, double-boiled pork ribs, Peking duck rolls, crispy pork belly, steamed snow fish with wild mushroom and wok-fried rice with seafood in XO sauce. Guests can then end their meal with chilled peach gum, ginkgo nut and white fungus in syrup, while also enjoying soft drinks, Chinese tea and chrysanthemum tea.

The Chinese New Year Set Menu (THB 1,888* per person) allows diners to craft their own six-course meal from a selection of appetizers, soups, fish dishes, main courses, rice dishes and desserts. Choose your appetizers, including the most famous crispy pork belly in town, exotic seafood such as jellyfish and sea conch, and “Prosperity Toss” salmon – a traditional Chinese New Year classic. The main course allows guests to opt for exquisite dishes such as Hong Kong-style barbecued Peking duck, baked tiger prawns with angel hair noodles, sautéed squid and sea asparagus in XO sauce, deep-fried prawns with mango sauce, and braised abalone and black mushrooms with New Zealand mussels

A choice of succulent fish dishes includes steamed bamboo fish, garoupa or Greenland halibut; diners can also choose from rice dishes such as fried rice with conpoy (dried scallops), egg white and shrimp roe, as well as Yangzhou fried rice.
