Diners will enjoy a unique 1920's atmosphere amidst carefully created features of dark wood, chrome and frosted glass complimented by tasteful furnishing and the subtle sounds of American music from the artists of that period. Images of old Bangkok adorn the walls, and the art deco style of the bar area further enhances the feeling of having travelled back in time.

Together with the renowned vineyard, Robert Mondavi Winery, which has been the symbol of Napa Valley for more than 40 years, the evening will be filled with selection of exceptional wines with Hamilton’s sensational steaks and divine seafood options, all to produce a moment of pure pleasure for each passionate gastronomist.

Starting with Welcome Cocktail and a glass of Robert Mondavi Woodbridge White Zinfandel to whet the appetite, the five-course meal then starts with Fresh Crab Salad with Pineapple, Deep-fried Calamari Ring, Micro Herbs and Grapefruit Jelly paring with Robert Mondavi Private Selection Sauvignon Blanc, ranked number 2 for Super Premium brand in the USA, to bring out the tropical flavours with gusto.

Homemade Main Lobster Ravioli, Light Lobster Foam with Avocado Chips is next to delight, served with a tempting glass of Robert Mondavi Private Selection Chardonnay with its notes of ripe apple, melon, citrus, and tropical fruit aromas enriched by creamy malolactic tones, spicy French oak nuances, and enticing baked bread scents.

The third course delivers a delectable Pan-fried Keta Salmon Lightly Smoked with 4 Spices, Green Fava Bean, and White Asparagus. This dish is matched by Robert Mondavi Private Selection Pinot Noir 2015.

The main course comes with Duo of USDA Beef Tenderloin and Short Ribs, Parsnips Mousseline, Baby Turnip, and Red Wine Sauce paring with a glass of Napa Valley Classic, Robert Mondavi Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, that allow diners to indulge in its soft and silky dense tannins, with a rich setting for juicy fruit flavors of dark plum mingling with notes of dark chocolate and vanilla oak.

Finally a dessert, Chocolate Raspberry Creation with Cherry Sauce, follows with a glass of Robert Mondavi Woodbridge Zinfandel which has earned its reputation as California’s “own” grape variety. Its bright aromas and flavors show wild cherry, blackberry, dark chocolate-covered cranberries, and peppery spice character - a perfect finale for the night.

The St. Regis Bangkok launches two new VIU Dinner Feasts to Remember at VIU Restaurant, from 6.00pm to 10.00pm, Monday to Saturday, in Bangkok.

Mondays to Wednesdays, The St. Regis Classic presents an elegant, premium menu, with bi-monthly feature highlights. Throughout July and August, during the first half of each week, The St. Regis Classic dinner buffet includes the balanced flavor of the Fine de Claire oyster.

Thursday to Saturdays, The St. Regis Epic is an extravagant offering. In an epicurean feast for the senses, this top-calibre menu further tempts with an enticing selection of foie gras, lobster, oysters, Australian beef and fresh sustainable fish catches.

While The St. Regis Classic is priced at THB 1,300 net per person, including tea and coffee, The St. Regis Epic is at THB 1,999 net per person, with an upgrade possible for an additional THB 1,800 net for free-flow wines & Prosecco (Thursdays to Saturdays only).
