Anantara Sathorn Bangkok Hotel hosts an exclusive evening featuring nine courses of authentic Thai cuisine paired with premier California wine. Each course is prepared and presented by executive chef, Chef Gibb.
There are just 30 seats available for October’s intimate Uncorked and Plated Wine Dinner Series including a private cocktail reception and live cooking presentations.
Prime Cityscape Backdrop
Sweeping views of Bangkok’s glittering skyline wrap around the ZOOM Sky Lounge, 38th floors high. Attendees sip on specialty cocktails and fine bubbles while they sample savoury Thai hors d'oeuvres and soak in the dazzling sunset.
The nine-course dinner and wine tasting menu is served in Anantara Sathorn’s private Kasara Executive Lounge. Guests are treated to the ultimate intimate dining experience as Chef Gibb presents each course from live cooking stations.
Singular Thai Fine Dining Menu
Chef Gibb showcases different traditional Thai ingredients in each course, highlighting familiar Thai flavours in unexpected ways. Each plate is expertly paired with fine wines from California’s internationally recognized wine country wineries.
The first course features fresh grilled clown knife fish and quail eggs with red curry paste, sweet chili and cucumber. A unique Thailand delicacy, salty horseshoe crab roe, is the highlight of the third course, accented with tangy pineapple and fresh mussels.
The epicurean creations continue with several meat courses. For the fourth course, guests are served savoury pork with egg and native purple riceberry rice flavoured with peppery hot basil. A plate of tender juicy beef shank seasoned with northern spices and beef broth bursting with flavour is presented in the sixth course.
The culinary journey concludes with two sweet indulgences for the eighth and ninth courses. The distinct Thai flavours of pandan and coconut and banana are reminiscent of Thailand’s most famous desserts with a culinary twist.
