AustCham in collaboration with BCCT, CanCham, Singapore-Thai Chamber of Commerce, NTCC and AMCHAM cordially invites you to Special BCCT Luncheon Panel on Digital Transformation - The Implementation of PromptPay - Pushing Forward a Cashless Society.
PromptPay, a new online banking system. Implemented hand in hand with the government and private sector working together, The system, initiated by the Thai Banker’s Association and the Bank of Thailand allows users to easily transfer funds to each other electronically.
PromptPay will allow the government to send funds to the public making tax refunds much quicker and will also be used for paying taxes, subsidiaries and welfare services. PromptPay will also help in the growth of e-commerce as it makes it easy for consumers to purchase products online and transfer funds using mobile phone or national identification numbers linked to bank accounts.
PromptPay will affect all businesses and individuals in Thailand as it becomes one of the dominant payment methods supported by the Thai Government and The Bank of Thailand.
