14 MAR - ESB Round Table Discussion on Risk Managment

AustCham Thailand and NZTCC members are invited to join an ESB round table discussion on Risk Management to be led by Steve Fraser, Managing Director at Kiwi Resource Protection.  

Steve’s talk is aimed at preparing for the unexpected in areas such as communications systems, IT hacking, IP selling, media, public and social media, and how problems in these areas now can have serious long-term negative effects.

Risk Management

Determining the companies credible risks, how to prepare for, respond to and recover from un-planned events.

1. Defining what is possible and probable – Plan for probable not possible but prepare to manage the unexpected
2. Determine the losses that are considered acceptable.
3. Correctly interpret and apply country/company code and law for the potential risks – Reduces annual premiums, insurers are more likely to pay out on claims
4. Install/apply the appropriate solutions to manage the risks – Equipment, people, procedures – many companies over-do this reflecting in high CAPEX and OPEX
5. Specify to auditors and assessors how you want your reports constructed
   1. What do I not comply with V’s mandatory code and law:     Finding – Evidence – Code/law breached -  Requirement to comply  -  Time to comply  
   2. What do I not do V’s best practices
   3. What can I do better based on your professional opinion .....NOTHING ALL GOOD
