The 2018 Australian Federal Budget will be handed down on Tuesday 8th May under a proposed sitting calendar presented to parliament, and AustCham Thailand will have the pleasure of hosting Katherine Tuck, the Australian Treasury’s Minister-Counsellor/Senior Representative at the Australian Embassy in Jakarta, who will provide important insights into the budget and what impact it may have on Australian businesses and Australian Expats.

Katherine Tuck is the Australian Treasury’s Minister-Counsellor/Senior Representative at the Australian Embassy in Jakarta since January, 2018.  She has responsibility for ASEAN economic issues.  She joined Treasury in 1998 and has held a range of positions, including in Treasury’s macroeconomic, fiscal and revenue groups.  Most recently she has had a particular focus on tax reform issues, long term fiscal analysis and Government debt.  She has also worked as an economic adviser in the Solomon Islands Ministry of Finance.
