AustCham Thailand invites members to join a business briefing webinar on “Tax Measures in Response to COVID-19” on Friday 3 April 2020 at 13.00-14.00.  

Join Damian Norris, Partner – Taxation Practice, and  Pongphan Narasin, Director of Tax Department at Mazars Thailand, as they present updates on tax measures offered by the Thai government in response to the COVID-19 pandemic that has affected businesses across the country.  

Speakers:

  • Damian Norris, Partner – Taxation Practice at Mazars Thailand
Damian Norris joined Mazars in 2006 and has 35 years of international tax experience. He was originally an Australian tax specialist, having worked in the Australian Taxation Office for 7 years, before being seconded by the Australian Government to the Fiji Government where he was the senior policy advisor advising on the reform of the tax system there. He has also previously worked with Chartered Accounting firms, KPMG, and Ashley Munro and is an acknowledged expert in transfer pricing and the use of double tax treaties and has conducted numerous seminars in this field both in Thailand and overseas. His experience in Thailand has included transfer pricing negotiations with the Revenue Department; advice on complicated property deals and engagements that combine numerous international tax strategies.
    • Pongphan Narasin, Director of Tax Department at Mazars Thailand
    Pongphan has just under 30 years of taxation experience. She joined Mazars in 2015 and prior to that had worked with Andersen Legal & Tax Ltd., KPMG Thailand, Tilleke & Gibbins International Ltd., and other multinational firms. She has expertise and experience in both tax compliance and tax consulting on personal income tax, corporate tax and indirect taxes. Her experience includes advising organizations on corporate reorganizations, Thai and international tax planning and cross border transactions. Pongphan also advises multinational companies in the industries including manufacturing companies, trading companies, banking, international transportation and contractors. She has also been involved in planning and supervising a number of tax reviews and due diligence works.
