The “Duke of Edinburgh Cup” is an annual international series of charity golf events with Royal Patronage and has been running successfully around the world since 1999. The aim is to raise funds through a programme of national amateur golf events around the world to benefit young people and children in need globally. Working closely with The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, National Award Operators, and other charities helping young people.
This will be the first time a Qualifier has been held in Southeast Asia, with the prestigious Thai Country Club selected to host the event.
The Bangkok Qualifier is a pairs event, with the top scoring pair invited to take part in the World Finals of The Duke of Edinburgh Cup held in England in September. The winners of the Bangkok qualifier will have their expenses for the World Finals paid for, including air travel, hotel accommodation, transportation, welcome dinner, 3 rounds of golf and a Royal Gala Prize Giving Dinner in the State Apartments of Windsor Castle attended by a Member of the Royal Family.
