 Global Market Update by Australia's ANZ Bank

AustCham is pleased to invite members and friends to a special luncheon address by Dr Mike Foskolos, Head of Capital Markets & Securities Research at Australia's ANZ Bank. The presentation will begin with a focus on ANZ's view of the present global equities market. Dr Foskolos will then examine specific investment styles, market sectors and industry groups which are particularly attractive in the current environment. The presentation will go beyond merely outlining the ANZ view, but examine the rationale behind the view - while at the same time demystifying complex market concepts by explaining them in easy-to-understand terms. The aim is for the audience to emerge from the presentation with a clear understanding of how to position in the current market environment, including a better understanding of how complex global markets work.

Dr Mike Foskolos
Head of Capital Markets & Securities Research, ANZ Bank

Dr Foskolos is currently the Head of Capital Markets and Securities Research at ANZ Global Wealth & Private Bank, Asia. He has 20+ years financial market experience, including an appointment at UBS Investment Bank, where he was considered one of leading Equities Strategists in the Asia Pacific Region. In addition to his role at UBS, he has also served as a Principal Consultant with Mercer Investment Consulting, where he advised National and Sovereign Wealth funds in Asia on their investment strategy, with close to $US 400 billion under his advise. He has held several Senior Management and Executive roles in the funds management industry, joining ANZ form the Global Hedge Fund Manager, EIM, where served as Chief Executive Officer (Asia Pacific). Dr Foskolos holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, and a Doctorate in Economics & Finances from Imperial College, University of London, UK.
Cancellation & No Show Policy
This event requires AustCham to give guaranteed numbers of attendees to the hotel venue. If those who have booked fail to attend the venue invariably still charges the Chamber.
