AustCham, together with American, British, Canadian and South African Chambers of Commerce, are pleased to invite AustCham members to a special luncheon address by the recently elected Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC) and Chairman of the Board of Trade of Thailand (BOT), Khun Isara Vongkusolkij.  Speaking in his capacity as TCC and BOT Chair, but drawing on his experience as one of Thailand's top ten most successful business people, Khun Isara will present on the topic of "BOT Priorities and Outlook for Business in Thailand".  This is an event not to be missed for anybody interested in a top-level insider view of business in Thailand.

Isara Vongkusolkij
 Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC) and Chairman of the Board of Trade of Thailand (BOT)

Isara Vongkusolkit is the Chairman of Mitr Phol Group (the world's fifth largest sugar producer with investments in China, ASEAN and Australia).  Isara was the President of Mitr Phol Group in 1989 then has become Chairman of the Group in 2008.

Aside from his role at Mitr Phol Group, Isara is the Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, Member of the Board of Trade of Thailand, the Board Member of TDRI, Honorary Chairman of Thai Sugar and Bio-Energy Producers Association, Board of Trustee of Thailand Management Association, ESCAP-Business Advisory Council Member and Advisor to the Board of Thailand Future Foundation.


Isara was awarded as “Person of the year” from the Right Livelihood Foundation in 2010 and the Masterclass Entrepreneur of the Year 2011, the Global Leadership Awards by the Leaders International Magazine of Malaysia.


Isara graduated with bachelor degree in Management from North Carolina University, at Greensboro, U.S.A., He earned the Honorary Doctorate Degree of Science in Agribusiness from Khon Kaen University in 2008 and the Honorary Doctorate Degree of Post-Harvest and Processing Engineering from Rajamangala University of Technology Isan in 2010. Married with 4 children, Isara’s hobby is playing golf and motorcycle touring.
