AustCham is pleased to present Adrian Vanzyl, CEO of Ardent Capital, and Jonathan Kenna, Deputy Head of Mission at the Australian Embassy, as speakers for our second Australian Business Forum (ABF) luncheon in Bangkok.  The ABF is a new Chamber initiative, supported by the Australian Government.

  • Adrian Vanzyl, CEO of Ardent Capital. Drawing on his experiences in building tech companies from the ground up in Australia, the United States and now Thailand, Adrian will reflect on key elements of early business success; what it takes for a company to go from start-up to corporate star; and the lessons therein for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).  With his company Ardent Capital funding and carefully growing several new e-commerce enterprises here in Thailand, he will also examine the business potential of e-commerce in Thailand and Southeast Asia more generally.  Adrian's expertise is in Internet technologies, including search, social networking and emerging software services architectures.  You can read more about Adrian and the exciting projects of the Ardent incubator in this month's Advance magazine. Click here.
  • Jonathan Kenna, Minister and Deputy Head of Mission of Australian Embassy. Jonathan will present on the emphasis that the new Australian Government - led by Prime Minister Tony Abbott - is giving to economic and commercial diplomacy, and how the Embassy is responding on the ground here in Thailand.  Jonathan joined the Australian Embassy in Bangkok in March this year.  From 2007 to 2010 Jonathan was posted to Australia's Mission to the World Trade Organization in Geneva.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Sydney, a Bachelor of Laws (University of New South Wales) and a Master of Laws (University of Melbourne).
