AustCham is pleased to present Shane Burt, Managing Director of CEVA Logistics, and Greg Wallis, Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner at The Australian Trade Commission (Austrade Thailand) as speakers for the second Australian Business Forum (ABF) presentation on the Eastern Seaboard. The ABF is a Chamber initiative, supported by the Australian Government.

  • Shane Burt, Managing Director of CEVA Logistics. CEVA Logistics is one of the world’s leading logistics companies, providing end-to-end design, implementation and operational capabilities. The company specialises in freight forwarding, contract logistics, transportation management and distribution management. Drawing from his extensive experience across the Asian region, Shane will highlight some of the opportunities and challenges he has faced in the logistics industry in Thailand. He will outline key business learnings, including the pitfalls around selecting logistics partners in Thailand and the factors that one must consider when selecting warehouse locations. Finally, he will reflect on the local policies and rules pertaining to Custom’s clearance for import and export of freight.
  • Greg Wallis, Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner at Austrade. Greg will present a detailed analysis on the Australian investment presence in Thailand. He will provide both historical and comparative data on the volume of Australian FDI in Thailand and will offer a forensic examination of how many Australian companies are operating in Thailand and what business sectors they represent.
