Phuket is seeing an expansion in the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) market. This is a key segment that can help the island attract quality visitors. The American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM), together with AustCham and the British Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (BCCT), invite you to a tourism event that focuses on how to develop a sustainable MICE business.

The event will feature a series of presentations from the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), and the private sector. This will be followed by a discussion session in which the audience is able to exchange ideas with the speakers and other attendees.

Speakers include:
  • Supawan Teerarat, Director – Vice President Strategic and Business Development, Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB)
  • Welf Ebeling, Vice President, APAC – Global Business Travel Association (GBTA)
  • Mark Simmons, Vice President Sales and Marketing, Asia-Pacific – Outrigger Hotels and Resorts

Natasha Eldred, fromShine PR,  will serve as moderator.

The event is open to the public and presents a great opportunity for those who are associated with hotels, tourism and the service industry. Attendees will learn more about Phuket’s MICE sector and how this important segment can encourage quality tourism on the island.
